REGISTRATION

Entry fees do not include admission into the ballroom. In order to compete or watch any session, you must buy the appropriate competitors pass for the day. Additional information regarding registration can be found here.

There will be a per person, non-refundable registration fee plus an entry fee for each event entered.

Since the registration fee is per person, this should make it easier for those people who have qualified and will be dancing with multiple partners. Each couple will receive a program as part of their competitor package.

Early Discount Registration Fee (payment received by March 28, 2019):

ADULTS (19 years old and older) and PROS:
One time, per person, non-refundable registration fee of $40.00

YOUTH (18 years old and younger):
One time, per person, non-refundable registration fee of $30.00

Regular Registration Fee (payment received after March 28, 2019):

ADULTS (19 years old and older) and PROS:
One time, per person, non-refundable registration fee of $70.00

YOUTH (18 years old and younger):
One time, per person, non-refundable registration fee of $60.00

DEADLINE FOR GETTING NAME IN PROGRAM:
THURSDAY MARCH 21TH, 2019

CANCELLATION POLICY: Competitors, please email or call the Registrar if you need to cancel.

  • Competitors who cancel by Thursday, March 21, 2018 will receive a 80% refund of their entry fees. This does not include the per person registration fee.
  • Between March 21 & April 4, with acceptable medical documentation of inability to compete, 70% refund.
  • After April 4, NO REFUNDS WILL CONSIDERED
  • The per person registration fee is a non-refundable fee.
  • We will not refund “per event” entry fees for scratched events.
  • Please allow us 30 days after the end of the event to process and forward your refund.
  • We will not refund spectator tickets.
  • After midnight (PST) on Thursday, April 4th, entries will only be taken by phone. You will need to call our Registrar, and the entries will be accepted if and only if the entry will not add an additional round. Your name WILL NOT be in the program!

CHECKING IN at the event

At the time of Check-In at the event all athletes must submit the following items:

  • Photo ID regardless of age
  • Proof of current USA Dance membership
  • If you are dancing in the WDSF Open events you MUST present your WDSF membership card.
  • If you are dancing any Championship level Standard, Latin, or 10-Dance event, you must show proof of meeting residency requirements by providing residency documentation as follows:**
    • US Birth certificate OR
    • US Passport OR
    • Foreign Passport + Current US Visa OR
    • Foreign Passport + Current Green Card OR
    • Foreign Passport + Current Non-Resident Alien Card OR
    • Current US WDSF Card OR
    • Current Global Entry Card OR
    • Certificate of Naturalization as a US Citizen

ONLY THOSE COMPETITORS DANCING CHAMPIONSHIP LEVEL STANDARD, LATIN, OR 10-DANCE EVENTS AT THE USA DANCE NATIONAL DANCESPORT CHAMPIONSHIPS WILL BE REQUIRED TO SHOW PROOF OF MEETING RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS BY PROVIDING RESIDENCY DOCUMENTATION.

Registration Check-In: Both members of the couple MUST be present for check-in. Competitors under 18 years old MUST have a parent or guardian accompany them to check-in.

Step 1 – Each competitor will need to present his/her current USA Dance membership card or receipt showing expiration date. Renewal of USA Dance memberships will not be available at the event.

Step 2 – Each competitor regardless of age will need to present a photo ID.*

Step 3  – Each competitor who will be dancing any Championship level Standard, Latin, or 10-Dance event will need to present residency documentation as outlined above.

Step 4 – Each competitor who will be dancing any WDSF event will need to present a current WDSF card.

Step 5 – Any unpaid competitor fees will be collected at this time. This year for your convenience we will be able to accept  credit cards.

Step 6 – All Pre-Teen, Junior, and Youth Syllabus couples MUST have their costumes vetted by the DanceSport Officials (see Parent Handbook). The official will give the couple a ticket indicating that their costumes have been seen and are acceptable for the events entered. Please note that USA Dance Dress Codes will be followed. No other dress restrictions apply.

Step 7 – Each competitor will need to sign the  USA Dance Waiver. For competitors less than 18 years old, a parent or guardian will also have to sign the Waiver. Click here to review the Athlete’s Waiver.

Step 8 – Each competitor will need to sign the Anti-Doping Form. For competitors less than 18 years old, a parent or guardian will also have to sign the Anti-Doping Form. Click here to review the Anti-Doping Form. It is recommended that competitors print and complete but do not sign this form and bring it with them to Registration Check-In to make the check-in process faster and easier.

Step 9 – Each couple will pick up their competitor package containing nametags, heat sheet, competitor number, and safety pins. Please check to see that your heats are correct. If you find an error, please submit an Event Add/Drop form to the on-site registrar immediately.

*Younger competitors who do not have a driver’s license or passport may be able to obtain a photo ID from their schools. The Department of Motor Vehicles in many states will provide a photo ID for a person of any age who does not have a driver’s license. Go to www.dmv.org/id-cards.php and select your state from the list.

Costume Check-In will be taking place for all Pre-Teen, Junior, and Youth Syllabus couples prior to picking up your packet. If you have any questions prior to arriving at the competition, please refer to the USA Dance DanceSport Rulebook 2019 and/or contact the registrar with specific questions at: registrar@usadance.org.

Check in hours: (Please plan on the process taking about 1 hour.)

  • THURSDAY: April 11: 3:00pm – 6:00pm and 7:00pm – 9:00pm
  • FRIDAY: April 12: Beginning 60 minutes prior to the start of the morning session.
  • SATURDAY: April 13: Beginning 60 minutes prior to the start of the morning session.
